4. Early in the year I learned the importance of making clean in and out points. You can see that in my first film of the over the shoulder exercise, I didn't do this, especially in the scenes where I look down to view my script. On my secong project I learned to make better decisions on when to cut certain clips. A scene that shows this well is when I get up and walk away and the boys are still looking at me trying to decide if they shout make a the right choice. This film was called our "Final Draft". Later in the year I showed that I really had learned that concept well, since I showed this in other projects. One good example is from "Star Promo" in all the scenes where I cut them short enough to understand what they say, but short enough to keep the audience interested.
5. Something that I learned from watching films is using the Rule of Thirds. I tried to use it in my films but when it came around to it I just forgot. I liked when others used it because it was something that caught my eye. I also watch for the Rule of Thirds when I watch films at the movie theater. This aspect does get annoying, it does help with my film making.
6. I had a good experience in this class. I met a lot of new people and have a new interest in film making. I would like to keep making short films because that is definetly one of the things that i enjoyed doing in this class. Another thing that i liked about this class was actually editing the videos. I started getting really good at it and I was able to edit it videos in a very short amount of time. Overall I think this was a very good class.
