Over The Shoulder Exercise
Our group didn't do that much planning because we thought it was pretty standard. After, we realized that we should have planned more becasue we forgot to do the reaction shot. If we would have planned before we could have planned decided to do that shot last. We did not follow the rule of thirds very well because we forgot that we had to use it. Our shots were all centered. The impressions that the over the shoulder shots create about the charcter is that you can see all of the person who is talking. You can also see exactly what the person is seeing. The dialogue seems pretty realistic in the final edit. A challenge we faced while editing was ending the clip right before the person looked down. There is no dominant tone of the video because the to characters have different moods throughout the video. The mood for the girl is annoied becasuee she just wants to know the amount of money. The mood for the guy is ammused because he thinks it is funny to mess with her. An observation i have about the over the shoulder shot is that it is cool to see the point of view.
